LGB Leading USA Today Contest For Best Airport Dining

For the past several years, the first-class experience at Long Beach Airport (LGB) has made it feel like the travel industry's favorite little secret. Now, it looks like the secret is starting to get out. Last week, USA Today, the largest circulation newspaper in the United States, included LGB in its nominations for 2016 Readers’ Choice Best Airports for Dining. This is an incredible honor for Long Beach Airport, and it tells us that our guests are enjoying the convenient and easygoing atmosphere that we provide. We will continue this same high level of service in order to preserve the charm and modern feel of our airport. Voting is open now until February 10th, and you can click here to cast your vote for LGB and share it on social media.

After several days of voting, Long Beach Airport is currently No. 1 on the leaderboard, and we hope to remain on top when the final results are tallied. Everyone is eligible to vote, as often as once per day, from now until 9:00am PST on February 10th.

The contest presents a tremendous opportunity for Long Beach Airport. LGB has the lowest number of annual enplanements among the list of 15 airports from all across the U.S. and Canada, which were chosen from USA Today reader recommendations. This signals to us that our customers are spreading the word about Long Beach Airport with very high regard.

In their description, USA Today echoes what we've been hearing from guests for years, noting that "Long Beach Airport hearkens back to the golden age of flying, and the food options are a great representation of local flavors." With their total daily average circulation of more than 4.1 million, and print circulation alone at more than 1.1 million, USA Today is helping Long Beach Airport expand our presence to a worldwide audience.

We’re extremely pleased to share this honor with our dining partners. We would like to highlight Paradies, which does a fantastic job of operating our establishments and runs a welcoming dining experience for our passengers each and every day. Of course, we are also thankful for the amazing local restaurants that bring so much flavor and diversity to LGB. Click here to learn more about each of them.

We hope you’ll vote LGB in the USA Today contest, and hope to serve you at one of our fantastic eateries very soon. Then you’ll be able to experience our vision for a new standard of air travel; one that is simple, straightforward, and in our case, quintessentially Long Beach. Vote here for LGB as your favorite airport for dining.
