On
Thursday, June 19, Long Beach Airport (LGB) had the privilege of welcoming UC
Irvine’s baseball team home from the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Anteaters arrived on a charter flight provided by
Southwest Airlines in the early afternoon. The team was returning home after
their loss to the Longhorns from University of Texas at Austin.
Despite the team’s loss the night before, LGB
staff members were out in full force to welcome the Anteaters with pom poms and
goodies.
