Celebrating the Second Sundays of Summer

On Sunday, July 13, Long Beach Airport (LGB) handed out goodies while interacting with the community at Second Sundays in the Village. The free event is held every month of the summer in Virginia Village on Long Beach Blvd between 53rd and 56th streets. Many locals were drawn to the event, which featured a variety of entertainment and vendors.

The entertainment included dancers and musicians from the Cultural Alliance of Long Beach and an open mic, where children sang songs from their favorite television shows and the ever-popular movie Frozen. Fellow vendors included the Aquarium of the Pacific, Covered California, Long Beach Water, the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Long Beach Beekeepers, and the Long Beach Human Trafficking Task Force.

LGB passed out TSA-approved travel kits, doggy bandanas, and doggy waste bag dispensers.
