On Friday, August 1, Long Beach Airport (LGB) joined the fun in Bixby Knolls for First Fridays. According to their
website, the mission of the event is "to promote and support local artists and musicians by providing them with an outlet to showcase their work." LGB provided free pens, doggy waste bags, and TSA-approved travel kits for passersby.
Performers including Hedgehog Swing, Hot Club, Jester McCool, and Taylor Crawford kept the music and good times rolling as people and their pets roamed the sidewalk. Street performers wowed the crowd and the Long Beach Trolley transported guests.
The monthly event occurs every first Friday of the month on Atlantic Ave. from Bixby Rd. to San Antonio Dr. Be sure to say hello to LGB at the next event on Friday, September 5 in front of the Historical Society of Long Beach!
